If i model is it possible?

not a real big time model but a magazine (seventeen,ford etc.) model could i know famous people but not be famous and surrounded by paparazzi ? like could i talk to and know famous people(actors/actresses) from the modeling agencies(like how some celebs come in and model for a magazine) but still live a normal life and go to public school nd everything? and is it even possible to get to know famous people through a top modeling agencies?
